I congratulate the Georgian people on Independence Day and sincerely wish for Georgia to be strong and happy. Ukrainians have always felt a warm emotional connection with Georgia, – this is stated in the statement by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, which he shared on X in the Georgian language.
“Our state supported Georgia’s sovereignty and defense in 2008, during the difficult period of Russia’s invasion. And we will always stand together in the peoples’ shared aspiration for a free and dignified life for all the peoples of Europe, which is unimaginable without Ukraine and Georgia.
