The State Youth Agency under the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia has announced a grant competition titled ‘Strengthening Youth Organizations’ in celebration of International Youth Day.
The competition aims to support youth and youth organizations by enhancing their capacities through non-formal education.
Grant projects should focus on the following priorities:
- Encouraging youth participation in social and democratic processes and promoting civic responsibility, including volunteerism;
- Supporting peacebuilding skills through conflict transformation and intercultural dialogue, including ethnic minority integration;
- Promoting economic empowerment by raising awareness of entrepreneurship and strengthening social and employment skills among youth;
- Supporting youth with fewer opportunities and implementing initiatives for their needs;
- Providing youth services in or near occupied territories;
- Increasing access to non-formal education and youth services;
- Developing competencies within the lifelong learning framework, especially in digital and technological fields;
- Promoting youth health and well-being, healthy lifestyles, reducing harmful behaviors, preventing violence, early marriage and teenage pregnancy;
- Raising awareness about media, digital literacy, and personal data protection.
Non-profit youth organizations focused on youth development are eligible to apply. The total competition budget is 400,000 GEL, with a maximum grant of 50,000 GEL per project.
