Today, April 9, at 18:00, a “Freedom March” will be held from the Republic Square to Parliament. The participants of the march are protesting the violation of the promise made by Georgian Dream a year ago and the re-initiation of the “Russian law.”
The “Russian law” appears to contradict democratic values and the country’s European integration. Accordingly, the goal of the march is to protect the country’s European perspective.
“Join us for the European future of Georgia! We choose Europe, Georgia will never be Russia! Let’s protect the victory of April 9 together! And Europe! No Russian law!”, reads the description of the event.
The “Russian law” was discussed at the session of the Bureau yesterday, April 8. The first committee that will consider the said bill will be the Committee on Legal Affairs. The hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 15.
