With the support of TBC and the organization of the Georgian Artificial Intelligence Association (GAIA), Georgia’s National Artificial Intelligence Team will represent the country at the 3rd International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI 2026), taking place in Astana, Kazakhstan, from August 2–8, 2026. The team is currently undergoing intensive training in preparation for the international competition.

The Georgian national team consists of:

  • Mate Rekhviashvili – V. Komarov Tbilisi Public School of Physics and Mathematics No. 199
  • Nikoloz Kipshidze – Tbilisi Public School No. 136
  • Nikoloz Gegenava – V. Komarov Tbilisi Public School of Physics and Mathematics No. 199
  • Giorgi Maisuradze – V. Komarov Tbilisi Public School of Physics and Mathematics No. 199
  • Luka Berikelashvili – V. Komarov Tbilisi Public School of Physics and Mathematics No. 199
  • Antoni Ingorokva – V. Komarov Tbilisi Public School of Physics and Mathematics No. 199
  • Nikoloz Kiladze – G. Zaldastanishvili American Academy
  • Giorgi Tskitishvili – V. Komarov Tbilisi Public School of Physics and Mathematics No. 199

As part of their preparation for the Olympiad, the students successfully completed GAIA’s Olympiad AI Course, an intensive program covering practical applications of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.

The team is led by Shota Elkanishvili, with Nika Mikaberidze and Luka Darsalia serving as co-leaders. Alongside TBC, the Olympiad’s partners include the Business and Technology University (BTU) and its Tech Olympiads Hub.

Supporting education and strengthening Georgia’s technology ecosystem is one of TBC’s strategic priorities. Through initiatives like this, TBC continues to invest in programs that equip young people with cutting-edge technology skills and create opportunities for them to compete and succeed on the international stage.

Georgia’s participation in IOAI 2026 is another important step toward fostering the next generation of AI talent and promoting the country’s growing presence in the global technology community.
