The vaccination program has been suspended in four municipalities of the Adjara region, Khelvachauri, Keda, Shuakhevi and Khulo.
Unconfirmed reports say that the reason for stopping the vaccination in the clinics is the lack of intensive care units in the area.
The Ministry of Health of Adjara noted that vaccination is being actively carried out in the Batumi and Kobuleti municipalities.
The agency has not yet said when the vaccination process will be resumed in the highlands of Adjara.
They claimed that more than 300 doctors in Batumi and Kobuleti have been vaccinated with AstraZeneca vaccine already.
