The USAID Agriculture Program, together with the Journalism Resource Center, completed the student short film competition “AgriStory.”
The purpose of this competition was to encourage students of the journalism faculties of regional universities and strengthen their abilities in agro-journalism. The students participating in the competition made seven short films about the priority sub-sectors of the USAID agriculture program (fruit and vegetable processing, blueberries, culinary herbs, nurseries, table grapes, and nut crops).
Each film depicts the role of the USAID Agriculture Program and the Government of Georgia (Rural Development Agency, Enterprise Georgia) in sub-sector development.
Participating universities included the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, the Akaki Tsereteli State University, the Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State Teaching University, Vocational College Horizonti, Gori State Teaching University, the Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, and the Samtskhe-Javakheti State University.
