US Embassy to Georgia published a statement stating a new five-year program to strengthen the energy security of the Georgian people.
“We are happy to announce a new five-year program to strengthen the energy security of the Georgian people.
As Ambassador Degnan noted, this initiative will help ensure that Georgian households, businesses, and communities have stable access to sustainable, affordable energy. It will help Georgia build resilience against malign influence, including overdependence on imported energy and cyberattacks against energy infrastructure.
This USAID/Georgia program will also help Georgia deepen its integration with its Euro-Atlantic partners and make its energy sector more transparent, competitive, and attractive to private investment,” reads the statement.
