The US Embassy in Georgia congratulated Merab Dvalishvili on successfully defending his UFC championship title.
In a post on its official Facebook page, the embassy also shared a photo of US President Donald Trump congratulating Dvalishvili and shaking his hand.
Dvalishvili retained his super lightweight title at UFC 316 in New Jersey, where he secured a victory over American fighter Sean O’Malley.
President Trump was in attendance at the event.
