UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited civilians injured in recent war-related events and praised the country’s armed forces and residents for their unity and resilience during the conflict.
Speaking during a hospital visit on March 6, the UAE leader said he had come to check on five civilians receiving treatment following the recent events. According to his remarks, the injured include two Emiratis, one Indian, one Sudanese and one Iranian.
“They are all our responsibility, and, God willing, they will make a full recovery,” Sheikh Mohamed said.
The president emphasized that the United Arab Emirates remains stable despite the ongoing war, describing the country as a home to people from many nations who stand together in difficult times.
“All is well in the UAE. It is home to many devoted people – people we are honored to stand alongside in this country,” he said.
Sheikh Mohamed thanked the UAE Armed Forces for what he described as their “vital role” and “outstanding service” during the war. He also expressed appreciation for other security institutions, including the Ministry of Interior, security services and Civil Defence, for their efforts in protecting the country.
The UAE leader praised both Emirati citizens and expatriate residents for their response to the crisis.
“The Emiratis who live in this country fulfilled their duty in a way that brings joy and pride,” he said.
He also addressed the country’s expatriate community, describing them as “guests and extended family.”
“As for the residents who live among us, our guests and our extended family, they have truly honoured us with their stance,” Sheikh Mohamed said, adding that the government would continue to fulfil its responsibility to protect everyone living in the country.
At the same time, the UAE president issued a warning to those he described as enemies of the UAE, stressing that the country would defend itself.
“The UAE is attractive; the UAE is beautiful. The UAE is a model,” he said. “But do not be misled by its appearance. The UAE has thick skin and bitter flesh — we are no easy prey.”
Sheikh Mohamed pledged that the country would emerge from the war stronger.
“I promise everyone that we will emerge stronger than before,” he said. “We will fulfil our duty to protect our country, our people and our residents.”
The remarks were delivered during his visit to the injured civilians currently receiving treatment in hospital.
