As the State Security Service of Georgia (SSU) reported, Tariel and Leonid Tenadze, brothers detained by Russian occupation forces near the village of Plavismani in Georgia’s Gori municipality, have been released.
“The hotline mechanism, operated with the involvement of the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM), along with all tools available to the central government, were actively used to secure their release,” the SSU stated.
The agency reinforced its ongoing efforts to secure the freedom of all Georgian citizens unlawfully held in the Russian-occupied regions.
“The occupying power bears responsibility for all destructive actions carried out in the occupied regions of Georgia and along the occupation line,” the statement emphasized.
