After road clearing works, traffic restrictions have been fully lifted on Rikoti Pass, a mountain pass that divides Georgia into its western and eastern parts, reports the Roads Department of Georgia.
Movement is again allowed for all types of vehicles. Traffic movement is also allowed for all transport through Rikoti Tunnel.
Due to heavy snowfall, movement on the Rikoti Pass was restricted to trailers and semi-trailers, with cleaning works underway overnight.
The Agency notes that movement is still prohibited for trailers and semi-trailers on the 39-26 kilometer road section of Nakerela Pass due to the snow and ice.
