“To Europe with Khorumi” – Georgian dancers are leading a march from the area surrounding the Philharmonic Hall towards Rustaveli Avenue.
There are shouts “Long live Georgia”.
Along with professional dancers, ordinary citizens also perform Khorumi, the Georgian national dance.
In addition, the dancers have the flags of Georgia and the European Union, and they chanted “Georgia” on the way.
Today, throughout the day, citizens from different regions of Georgia – Kutaisi, Adjara, Racha, Samegrelo, Svaneti – gathered in different locations. In the end, they gathered in front of the Parliament in processions.
Demonstrators are demanding the release of those arrested during the current protests and the holding of new elections.
Members of the Kakha Bendukidze campus, as well as teachers, joined this demand and organized a march.
The government has decided that Georgia will not open negotiations with the European Union until the end of 2028, which caused large-scale protests across the country.
The protest has been ongoing for 24 days now.
