The Georgian National Tourism Administration stated that the number of travelers to Georgia has increased significantly. According to the data of the 2nd quarter of 2024, 2,123,816 international visits took place in Georgia, which is +10% more compared to the same period last year.
Tourist visits are increasing from both EU countries and the Persian Gulf, and new tourist markets from India and China.
In the 6 months of 2024, the number of tourist visits from the Persian Gulf countries increased by +38.8%. A special increase of visitors is recorded from Saudi Arabia +44.3%, from Kuwait +45.8% and from Qatar +29.7%.
International visits to Georgia from EU countries and Great Britain increased by 13.3%. The following countries are distinguished by international visits: France +30.3%, Germany +24.3%, United Kingdom +16.3%.
