The Key to Building Strong Teams

The organizational flux driven by a series of social and organizational transformations had a significant effect on businesses. Due to Covid19, the companies had to adjust and make decisions quicker than ever before.

Consequently, these transformations changed the trajectory of what 2021 will look like and the ways businesses will operate in the near future. However, the essential importance of team building remained the same.

Here at Noxtton, we believe that team-building is the most important investment team leaders can make.

During the Covid19 pandemic, team building has become a great challenge for companies. Online communications brought the need for the operation outside the bureaucratic structures of the organizations. The tendency indicates that even after the pandemic, some team members will continue working remotely. That is why virtual team building has become more prominent.

We want to share some tips and tricks for the best team-building strategy. Whether traditional or virtual, strong teams share the same characteristics and are united by the same values.

Diversity and inclusion

Diversity and inclusion are the fundamental pillars for strong teams. Their harmonious coexistence boosts employee engagement and creates a sense of belonging. Only in this environment people feel secure and can thrive.

Inclusion brings a sense of trust. Openness and the possibility of expressing authentic selves enable the well-being of each employee and their work satisfaction. These pillars are the most influential enablers of effective teams.

The best way to achieve inclusion is by communication. That is why we encourage stand up meetings, follow ups, weekly meetings for all departments and different communication platforms. It should be mentioned that, , we hold monthly online team buildings for our team members to discuss their work, troubleshoot challenges, and review organizational feedback. It is not only an open-door policy but the feeling of being included and heard.

We are in this together!

A secure environment implies a sense of reliance. We believe that teamwork brings self-confidence to employees, enables them to work on challenging tasks without second thoughts. Collaboration helps to solve difficult problems, exchange opinions, and come up with creative ideas. By employing teamwork, employees have the opportunity to gain knowledge in a short period of time.

That is why in Noxtton, we focus on building relationships within the team members, whether on or off the office, generating self-awareness, and creating a secure environment where every employee can thrive. In our team, every task is accomplished not by an individual but rather by the team. Whether intern or pioneer, everyone has their doubts, and we aim to make sure they feel confident during every new task or challenge they face.

Debriefing and Self-Correction

Debriefing and self-correction are the habits of the strongest teams. Debriefing aims to keep every team member on track by sharing key ideas, while self-correction helps employees review their mistakes and work together towards improvement.

Our experience shows that the best way to inspire employees is to make sure they are not afraid of mistakes, and each individual embraces action. We believe that failing to act is worse than the fear of action.
