The Georgian National Tourism Administration reported that Georgia’s most popular travel destinations for international visitors in 2025 were Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi.
The survey allowed respondents to select multiple locations they visited, offering a broader view of how foreign tourists travel across the country and which destinations attract the most attention.
Tbilisi continues to dominate Georgia’s tourism landscape, welcoming 3.76 million foreign visitors in 2025. This represents an 11% increase year-on-year, with the capital accounting for 33% of the country’s total tourist flow.
The coastal city of Batumi ranked second, attracting 2.6 million international visitors, equivalent to 23% of overall tourist arrivals. Visitor numbers to Batumi increased 5% compared to 2024.
In the wider Adjara region, several sites proved especially popular, including Batumi Botanical Garden, Gonio Fortress, and the seaside resort of Kvariati.
Kutaisi ranked third with 631,000 foreign visitors which is a 15% annual increase. Tourists visiting the city frequently explored nearby landmarks such as Gelati Monastery, Bagrati Cathedral and the caves around Tskaltubo.
Mountain destination Kazbegi placed fourth with 592,000 visitors, reflecting a 16% rise compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the historic town of Mtskheta ranked fifth, drawing 542,000 visitors.
