TBC has once again been recognized as Georgia’s Most Active Trade Finance Bank by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), receiving the prestigious award for the 12th time. The award was presented during the EBRD’s Annual Trade Facilitation Program (TFP) Awards ceremony held in Riga, Latvia.
TBC earned the distinction based on the number of transactions completed under the EBRD’s Trade Facilitation Program (TFP). Through the program, the EBRD works with partner banks to support international trade by providing guarantees and other trade finance instruments, helping businesses expand their operations in global markets.
Each year, the EBRD recognizes the financial institutions that have demonstrated exceptional performance and made a significant contribution to the development of international trade through the TFP. This year, the EBRD honored the most active banks from 22 countries.
“This award from the EBRD is an important international recognition for TBC and further reinforces our leadership in Georgia’s trade finance market,” said Tamar Khizanishvili, Director of Trade Finance and Factoring at TBC. “With a market share exceeding 45%, we remain the country’s leading trade finance provider—a position built on the trust of our customers and international partners. We serve more than 1,000 clients with modern, flexible financial solutions that help them grow and expand their businesses internationally. By supporting our clients, we also contribute to the growth of international trade and the continued development of Georgia’s economy.”
