Tamar Bagrationi has departed for Washington, D.C. at the invitation of Melania Trump, where she will participate in a global summit focused on children’s well-being in the digital age.
Based on the information released by the press service of Mikheil Kavelashvili, Bagrationi will attend the international summit titled “Together for a Better Future,” organized on the initiative of Melania Trump. The event aims to promote the safe and innovative use of advanced technologies in support of children’s education, development, and overall well-being.
As part of the summit, Melania Trump will host a roundtable at the White House with the spouses of world leaders. Discussions will focus on the role of first spouses in supporting children’s well-being in the digital era, as well as exploring shared commitments and strategies.
Prior to the roundtable, a working session will be held at the United States Department of State. The session will bring together participants to discuss practical approaches and innovative tools designed to help children navigate opportunities and challenges in an increasingly digital world.
The summit events are scheduled to take place on March 24–25 in Washington, D.C. Alongside Tamar Bagrationi, Georgia will also be represented by Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth Baia Kvitsiani and Chairwoman of the Parliament’s Committee on Education, Science and Youth Affairs Mariam Lashkhi.
The initiative underscores growing international attention on safeguarding children’s development amid rapid technological change, with global stakeholders seeking coordinated approaches to ensure a safer digital future.
