CinExpress, in partnership with Khma Movement and Café Praktika, is launching a week-long feminist film event, ქალების ბრძოლით მოპოვებული გაზაფხული (Spring Won by Women’s Struggles). The program brings together films from various directors, showcasing female protagonists who ‘write their own histories’ and explore resistance, solidarity, and self-expression.

“Cinema has long objectified women, but it can also be a space for their stories, rebellion, and existence,” organizers stated on their official Facebook page. The lineup includes iconic aemale characters, young women navigating life challenges, and short films by women directors who ‘investigate reality through their own gaze. ’

The festival will close with a discussion dedicated to working women.

The screenings will take place at Cinema House Tbilisi, Praktika, and Tahini. For detailed information on dates and locations, check the official schedule.
