The special police forces “speznaz” continue to randomly attack the otherwise peaceful protesters on Rustaveli Avenue.

Numerous individuals have been grabbed over the course of the night by both marked and unmarked groups of police and beaten in front of the cameras as they are pulled behind the police line.

In some cases, this has led to anger and retaliatory aggression. Bottles and other objects are being thrown at the police forces.

The majority of protesters are asking those at the front line to keep calm and refrain from provoking the police.

Overall, an atmosphere of peace and unity reigns among the “No Russian law” protesters, seeing them singing, chanting, waving flags and showing civic responsibility by picking up the trash and helping each other where needed.

Rally participants have blocked the avenue using chairs, tables, trash cans and iron barriers. Special forces and police stand on one side of the barricades, while protesters stand on the other.

Tear gas continues to be shot into the crowd.

The protesters show no signs of fear or desire to disperse.
