The Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, together with the members of the parliamentary delegation, met with the Secretary of State for European Affairs of France, Laurence Boone.
As Papuashvili stated, the parties discussed the progress of Georgia in terms of the implementation of EU recommendations.
“I expressed my optimism regarding the potential granting of candidate country status to Georgia by the end of the year. The Minister of State assured me of France’s unwavering support in Georgia’s pursuit of European integration and its commitment to democratic reforms. During the meeting, we also discussed the current geopolitical landscape and the security challenges faced in the region,” the Speaker stated.
