“While every country manages its own elections, it appears that external forces are attempting to dictate the agenda for our opposition,” stated Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, during a press conference.
Papuashvili emphasized that discussions surrounding the Georgian elections are ongoing.
“The reaction to our party list has revealed the increasing desperation within the opposition, including their supporters and affiliated NGOs. They recognize that this list foreshadows their potential defeat and our trajectory towards securing a constitutional majority in Parliament.
Public response has been overwhelmingly positive. Many are pleased to see our distinguished figures and national icons included in the list, with Bidzina Ivanishvili at the forefront, leading Georgian Dream towards a constitutional majority,” the Speaker stated.
“The opposition even conducts its campaign from abroad, and discussions about Georgian elections seem to be a constant topic internationally. While every nation has its own electoral processes to manage, it’s curious that efforts are being made to provide our opposition with talking points,” concluded Shalva Papuashvili.
