Currently, the situation is calm in the vicinity of the Parliament of Georgia, where a rally against the so-called Agents’ Bill was held last night. Protesters are no longer present near the Parliament building; only law enforcement officers remain in the area.
On the walls of the Parliament building, protesters left various graffiti messages, including one which reads: “Slaves, who are selling the country, sit here.”
Today, at 15:00, another rally will be held in front of the legislative body. Citizens, politicians, representatives of the third sector will once again protest against the “agents bills”.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs ordered the dispersal of the rally underway near the Parliament last night by hundreds of police officers. They used water cannons, pepper spray and tear gas to disperse protestors. The process of freeing Rustaveli Avenue from protesters took several hours.
