Heavy snowfall has caused significant damage to power infrastructure across western Georgia, leaving many villages in the Imereti and Samegrelo regions without stable electricity.
ENERGO-PRO Georgia says the extreme weather conditions have severely affected both high- and low-voltage power lines, leading to widespread outages. Despite difficult access and challenging conditions, the company’s emergency crews have been working continuously for a second day to restore electricity.
ENERGO-PRO reported that power supply is currently being restored intermittently in most affected villages. Additional technical teams from other regions have been deployed to assist local crews in repair efforts.
The company stated that restoration work will continue until electricity supply is fully stabilized across all affected areas.
