The co-founder of Sfero and the author of the idea is Sandro Bolkvadze, whose special interest in the technology industry led him to create his own social network.

“Globalization leads to the acceleration of processes, therefore it is very important how quickly and easily a candidate can send an application for a vacancy. To solve this problem, we have developed the Easy Apply function, which allows unregistered users to send an application without registration, quickly and easily. The Easy Apply function is integrated into other social networks and, for example, a Facebook user can send an application with one click,” notes Bolkvadze.
Projects of such a scale as Sfero require in-depth knowledge of technological and digital directions from the founder. The co-founder of this new social network, Bolkvadze, has been working with Leri Mildiani for years to raise the level of education in the country and introduce innovative approaches. In parallel with this new initiative, he is the co-founder of the “Innovative Education Center” – Montessori Kindergarten, which introduces a European, progressive standard to Georgia’s preschool education sector.
In addition, Bolkvadze is the co-founder of the company BM Soft, which is permanently working on various digital projects.
As he himself tells us, after finishing school, he was faced with a rather difficult choice in the process of choosing a profession. His field of interests included three directions – music, architecture and business administration. He chose business administration, and it was an important decision for his further professional development.
Bolkvadze’s first career steps came in his second year of university, and since then he has tried such fields as IT-management, finance, business modeling and other areas related to business. He recalls that, in parallel with his studies, he devoted a lot of time and energy to applying the acquired knowledge in practice and understanding the direction in which he wanted to continue his work.
He realized that he was most interested in statistical analysis and business management. Right after completing his studies, together with Leri Mildian, he was involved in the creation of factories and enterprises, as well as in the tourism sector.
Nowadays, Bolkvadze works in three directions at the same time. He is the co-founder and creative director of BM Soft, the co-founder and executive director of the innovative education center – Montessori Kindergarten, and at the same time, the head of corporate sales in the Georgian region of the international company One Smart Star.
Living with such a busy schedule requires self-discipline and constant organization. What is his daily routine like?
“I wake up at 7am and usually find out about the global news for an hour. After that, I check my email, answer emails and go to the office. I try to devote my evening hours to researching new directions and to my favorite hobby – the piano. I like to exercise late at night from 23:00 to 01:00. Returning home, before going to sleep, I read about the news in the fields of anthropogenesis, astronomy, and microbiology. The fact that 4-5 hours of sleep is enough for me helps.”
The idea of creating Sfero came to him during his last undergraduate years when he began to concentrate on his career planning and future professional direction. A multifaceted field of interest and altruistic drive to introduce fellow students with unique talents and skills around him to everyone, including large companies, prompted Bolkvadze to create a social network that would make the process of recruiting and professional development accessible and easy.
“We believe that every person has a unique potential. The main goal of our team is to reveal this potential and thereby help the success of our projects on the international market,” he says. “I have fully connected my future with digital technologies. I think this is the most powerful field to unite enthusiasts in one space. As for the Sfero platform, what we’ve done is just the beginning. We’ve already developed a three-step plan to make Sfero a global player as quickly as possible.”
“Try to find your desires as quickly as possible and if you want to succeed, don’t stop for a single second, because time is such a resource that cannot be kept,” notes Bolkvadze. “In my opinion, victory is possible only in the company of people united around ideas. Obviously, there are many failures on the way to success, but you should take it as a source of new opportunities and never give up.”
