The Head of the Parliamentary Delegation to OSCE PA, Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee Nikoloz Samkharadze is participating in the OSCE PA Summer Session.
Within the session, the OSCE PA Committee on Political Affairs and Security ratified the Resolution concerning the security and stability in the OSCE region, Russian aggression in Ukraine and other security challenges.
On the initiative of Samkharadze, a record has been introduced to the Resolution, by which the Assembly calls on the Russian Federation to de-occupy the occupied regions of Georgia – Abkhazia and Tskhinvali – and to engage in the Geneva Talks.
“Georgia was the first country occupied by Russia and thus it is crucial to clearly reflect the problem of our occupied regions in the Resolution. The Committee members shared my initiative and approved the inclusion of a respective paragraph in the Resolution,” Samkharadze stated.
