Georgia’s fifth President, Salome Zurabishvili, announced that a resistance platform will be established with the participation of the pro-European political spectrum.
She made the relevant statement while addressing the citizens gathered at the protest on Rustaveli Avenue on March 31.
She emphasized that the platform will be open to all pro-European parties and groups that support the protest’s demands.
“To achieve our goal, we must complement street protests with a political format. That is why I have proposed—and now publicly declare—the creation of a resistance platform involving the pro-European political spectrum. This platform’s core principle is inclusivity, welcoming all pro-European parties and groups willing to set aside political differences and unite behind the two key demands of the protest: calling for new, fair elections and securing the release of prisoners of conscience,” said Zurabishvili.
