Your name should not be forgotten! – Group violence is what you and the judicial system are perpetrating against every citizen of Georgia, – the fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, writes on social media responding to the decision of Judge Ketevan Jachvadze to keep in custody actor Andro Chichinadze, comedian Onise Tskhadadze and 9 other people arrested during protests.
Salome Zurabishvili claims that “slavery will end badly.”
“Ketevan Jachvadze! It’s a shame! And no one should forget your name! Group violence is what you and the entire judicial system are perpetrating against every citizen of Georgia. Slavery will end badly! You probably haven’t read Kafka, but at least look at history!”, – writes Salome Zurabishvili.
Actor Andro Chichinadze, comedian Onise Tskhadadze and 9 others, who were arrested on charges of participating in group violence during the protests near the parliament, remain in custody. This decision was followed by dissatisfaction from the public present in the courtroom. They chanted “slaves”, “Russians”.
All the defendants attended the hearing. They do not admit to the charges brought against them.
