Salome Zurabishvili, in a televised statement, told the Georgian people: “I will continue to serve as your president because there is no legitimate parliament.
“An illegitimate parliament cannot elect a president, and therefore, there will be no inauguration [on December 14].
“My mandate remains in effect until a legitimately elected parliament is in place to lawfully choose my successor.”
