“Mikheil Saakashvili was abducted from Gori hospital. The direction is unknown. His condition is unknown,” Nika Gvaramia, a lawyer representing former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, posted on Facebook.
Based on the available information, Saakashvili was transferred from Gori Military Hospital to Rustavi 12th Penitentiary Institution.
Gvaramia and members of the National Movement are present at the prison.
“First I have to see how the prisoner is. When I last saw him in Gori, it seemed to me that he was very ill. I have to see that the prisoner is alive and has no injuries,” Nika Gvaramia said.
