Mikheil Saakashvili’s lawyer, Dimitri Sadzaglishvili stated the former president of Georgia agrees to cooperate with doctors.
Sadzaglishvili noted that Saakashvili’s statement that communication was restricted had been eliminated.
“Problems with communication with Mikheil Saakashvili have been eliminated. We have been able to communicate with him in a way that precluded the recording of a conversation between us by the State Security Service. The barrier is physically there, but space is left for us to be able to exchange letters, which is why Mikheil Saakashvili has stopped aggravating his protest: refusal of treatment, tests, etc.
Mikheil Saakashvili reaffirmed his respect for the doctors who are members of the council and apologized to them for not meeting for several hours today due to the aggravation of his protest and now that the problem has been eliminated, he will continue to cooperate with doctors, including members of the council., with whom he has confidence and great respect,” the lawyer said.
