Rustaveli Avenue was blocked. by participants of a rally which started in the morning and later moved from the back entrance of Parliament to the front. Ordinary citizens of Georgia, representatives of political parties, civil society and various fields are gathered at the rally.
The participants of the rally protest the draft law on agents and point out that the future of Georgia is in Europe, and the mentioned draft laws threaten the European integration of the country.
The participants of the ongoing protest unfurled the flags of Georgia and the European Union.
Civil activists, politicians, non-governmental sector representatives, citizens and students are present on the spot, chanting “Slaves” and “No Russian law”, and singing the Georgian national anthem.
The police are mobilized nearby.
The ruling party announced that at the plenary session of the Parliament, a decision was made to discuss the draft laws on agents today instead of Thursday, as was initially scheduled.
