Russian occupying forces unlawfully detained a Georgian citizen in the vicinity of Dvani village of the Kareli Municipality, the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG) reported.
The SSG said it activated the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) hotline and notified the Geneva International Discussions (GID) co-chairs, aiming to secure the release of the illegally detained individual quickly.
“The occupying force is accountable for any destructive acts on occupied territory and across the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL),” the SSG said in a statement.
