“Today, we will have a public gathering where, in my opinion, the number of attendees will exceed our expectations,” said Mamuka Mdinaradze, the leader of the parliamentary majority.
Mdinaradze claimed that the participants will start gathering at 6 pm, while the representatives of the youth organization will march from Tbilisi Concert Hall to Rustaveli Avenue. The speeches are scheduled to begin at 8 pm.
“We anew call on everyone who cares about homeland, language, faith, national identity, traditions, and the real and true European future of the country to join the gathering.
“Let’s all together tell everyone inside and outside the country that national unity, our country’s independence, sovereignty, homeland, language and religion are paramount.
“We call on everyone, those for whom the country’s true European path based on national, European Christian values are the most important, to join today’s gathering,” said Mdinaradze.
The Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, also urged GD supporters to join today’s gathering.
“It is time to stand together, to protect your choices, to evaluate your past life and struggle, to express your faith in tomorrow, to preserve what is dear and cherished to you,” – he wrote.
He claimed that the Georgian nation is worthy and wise, patiently and intelligently looking at thousands of “well-wishers” and waiting for its time, because it knows that the truth is invincible.
He added that the time has come for the children of this country to stand together, feel this “great moment” and say – “strength is in unity.”
