I fully support Ambassador Peter Fischer, he simply stated the facts. This is how the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the German Parliament (Bundestag), Michael Roth, responds to the statements made by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze regarding the German ambassador to Georgia.

“I support Ambassador Peter Fischer until the end. He just told the facts…” Roth writes on his personal Twitter page.

For information, on May 29, Peter Fischer, the German ambassador to Georgia, once again stated that this law would not open the EU accession negotiations for Georgia. Kobakhidze called this statement “anti-Georgian” and said that “Germany should not send such ambassadors.”
