The riot police are withdrawing from the territory of Parliament and Rustaveli Avenue, leaving the protesters to continue their rally against the “Russian” law.
More rally-goers are expected to return and add to their numbers at the protest this afternoon/evening.
“The third reading of the bill on the transparency of foreign influence will be held tomorrow at the plenary session,” said Anri Okhanashvili, Chairman of the Legal Issues Committee. “As for the peaceful protest, our society, who is concerned about a specific issue, has the full right to peacefully express its opinion. We act in accordance with the interests of our country, the constitution.”
