On January 14, a retrospective exhibition of Georgian scenographer Soliko Virsaladze is to be open at the Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery.
The exhibition will last for a month and up to 200 works of the artist and archival items in his house-museum will be presented, as well as costumes from Palace of Arts – Museum of Cultural History and Georgian National Ballet “Sukhishvilebi.”
Soliko Virsaladze created his own handwriting in the scenography of the 20th century. His creative activity begins at the Zakaria Paliashvili State Opera and Ballet Theater in Tbilisi. It should be noted that the last exhibition of Soliko Virsaladze’s works was held in Georgia 20 years ago.
The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs of Georgia, Soliko Virsaladze Foundation, National Gallery and Bank of Georgia.
