The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reports that money transfers to Georgia from abroad reached $291.86 million in March 2025, a 3.9% increase compared to the same period last year.
The majority, 96.2%, came from 25 key partner countries, each sending over $1 million. This figure slightly dipped from 96.5% in March 2024 but emphasises the continued reliance on core remittance markets.

Despite Russia remaining among the top three, remittances from the country saw a sharp 29% decline, while Kyrgyzstan had the most dramatic year-on-year increase at +155% ($7 million).
