Rally against draft law “On foreign influence” to be held today

Organized by civil organizations, the rally against the draft law “On transparency of foreign influence” will be held this evening at 19:00 on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi. The participants of the protest will gather at the parliament building with the slogan: “Yes to Europe, no to the Russian law”.

“Don’t stay at home, go out! Russian law applies to all citizens of Georgia! This Russian law is a big wall between Georgia and Europe!”, the organizers said in the information spread on Facebook.

The action “No Russian law” in front of the parliament has been going on since this morning. The participants of the rally unfurled a banner behind the parliament with the inscription: “Glory to those who continue to fight us with hope.”

For the record, the Parliament has started considering the draft law on “Transparency of Foreign Influence”. The draft presented by the faction “Georgian Dream” is being considered today by the Legal Affairs Committee in the first reading.
