PSP is the Market Leader in Georgia’s Pharmacy Sector

According to a consumer research study conducted in 2025 on the Georgian pharmaceutical market, PSP Pharma is the market leader. The company has maintained its leading position since 2013 and remains the #1 choice among consumers.

First and foremost, PSP holds the leading position in the pharmacy market in terms of brand awareness. When a pharmacy is mentioned, consumers most often name PSP first. Furthermore, consumers trust PSP and are likely to recommend it to others. Among all pharmacy chains, 96% of consumers spontaneously mention PSP. PSP also leads in Top-of-Mind (TOM) awareness, with 42% of respondents naming it first when listing familiar pharmacies.

According to the research, consumers choose a pharmacy based on various factors. They most commonly consider a convenient location, affordable prices, promotions, and pharmacists’ professional service.

The consumer research of the pharmacy market was conducted by ACT Research, a company that carries out this study annually across Georgia, with the participation of over 5,000 respondents.

PSP was founded in 1994 and became Georgia’s first official distributor of European medicines. Today, the company imports products from over 100 pharmaceutical manufacturers that comply with GMP standards. Since 2008, PSP has been the only pharmaceutical network in the Caucasus to hold the international ISO 9001:2008 quality management certification awarded by German experts. In addition, PSP has repeatedly passed audits for compliance with GDP (Good Distribution Practice) standards and has received the corresponding certification.

It is noteworthy that PSP is the first pharmaceutical company in Eastern Europe to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and LS Retail fully. The company has established a new Western standard in service quality, operational efficiency, and business process management through this.

Currently, PSP operates over 350 branches across Georgia and employs more than 5,000 people. The PSP network offers a wide range of products from leading manufacturers, including pharmaceuticals, parapharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, mother and baby care products, oral care items, and decorative cosmetics. In addition to its pharmacies, PSP also runs an e-commerce platform, allowing customers to purchase the complete product assortment online and use home delivery services.
