The President of Georgia will join the public march planned by non-governmental organizations on December 9.
The President announced the above while giving a speech at the reception of young athletes in the Orbeliani Palace.
Salome Zurabishvili noted that they will join the march so that it is a joint statement of Georgia’s Europeanness.
“I know that in many places there are different initiatives that are being gathered together. This is also a sign of society when separately and together we send one message to Europe.
“There will be a non-governmental march on December 9, which we are joining, as others are joining us, to make it a joint statement about Georgia’s Europeanness, as we are waiting for a very decisive message from Europe in a few days. Long live our European future!”, said the President.
A public march is scheduled in Tbilisi for December 9. The main goal of the march is for Georgian society to send its voice to Europe once again before the status is granted.
