The leaders of the United National Movement, Strong Georgia, and Coalition for Changes came to meet with the President.
The President will hold a meeting with opposition party leaders after meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps.
The extraordinary meeting was held after the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, made a statement on the issue of negotiations with the European Union after the meeting of the parliamentary majority and the government team.
In particular, based on the ruling team’s decision, Georgia is not to put the issue of opening negotiations with the European Union on the agenda until the end of 2028. The Prime Minister added that Georgia will also refuse any budget grant from the European Union until the end of 2028.
