The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, has called an extraordinary session of Parliament.
“On July 15, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia wrote to the President about convening an extraordinary session of the Parliament at 12:00 on July 18, 2024,” the President’s administration reports.
“Today, the President of Georgia issued a decree on convening an extraordinary session of the Parliament of Georgia.
“Together with the probable issues included in the agenda of the extraordinary session, the President calls on the Parliament to discuss and vote on the candidate for the member of the Board of the National Bank submitted by the President to the Parliament on May 24, 2024, so that the process of staffing the National Bank Board is not further delayed.”
