Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has arrived in Kyiv, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said in a post on social media.
Sybiha says during his visit to Kyiv, Tusk is scheduled to hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The discussions are expected to focus on security cooperation, continued political support, and assistance to Ukraine amid Russia’s ongoing war.
“Poland is a leader in supporting Ukraine, including in terms of energy assistance. We highly value this solidarity and our strategic partnership,” Sybiha wrote on X.
Poland has been one of Ukraine’s closest allies since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, providing extensive humanitarian, military, and political support. Warsaw has played a particularly important role in helping Ukraine stabilize its energy sector following repeated Russian attacks on critical infrastructure, including electricity and heating facilities. Poland has also consistently advocated for stronger European Union backing for Kyiv and for maintaining pressure on Russia through sanctions.
Tusk’s visit comes at a time when Ukraine continues to face intensified missile and drone strikes, especially against energy infrastructure, as well as heavy fighting along several front-line sectors. The talks in Kyiv are expected to reaffirm Poland’s long-term commitment to Ukraine’s defense, resilience, and European integration, as well as coordination ahead of upcoming discussions within the EU and NATO frameworks.
