The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced an increased police presence across Tbilisi ahead of a rally planned for October 4, mentioning the need to ensure public safety and maintain order during the event.
As the ministry stated, relevant police units have been deployed to multiple locations throughout the capital. Authorities emphasized that law enforcement officers are tasked with preventing any disturbances and ensuring that the demonstration proceeds peacefully and within the confines of Georgian law.
The ministry called on organizers and participants to act responsibly, comply with legal requirements, and follow the lawful instructions of police officers. “We urge everyone to hold the gathering within the boundaries set by legislation and not to obstruct officers in carrying out their duties,” the official statement read.
The Ministry warned that any violations of the law during the rally would result in an appropriate legal response.
