After a fierce attack on protesters using the water cannon, the police have been called back and are starting to give ground to civilians around Parliament, though the “robocop” continues to shoot tear gas their way and a loose line of police remains at the upper corner of parliament on Chitadze Street and within the gates of the Parliament Courtyard.
The water cannon has also been withdrawn.
Protesters continue to shout and chant from Rustaveli Avenue and a number of skirmishes are being seen.
