“This is indeed a historic day for Georgia. EU Council granted European Perspective to Georgia to become a member of the European Union,” Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili tweeted.
“We are ready to implement all priorities in order to get the candidate status soon. Congrats to Ukraine and Moldova. Thanks European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel”, the PM tweeted.
For information, the European Council has decided to recognize Georgia’s European perspective and is ready to grant candidate status as soon as the set priorities are addressed.
