I am interested in our country, our country’s interests. How is it that our war is not a war and Ukraine’s war is a war? – Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili stated this in the context of Georgia-Russia relations.
Garibashvili said that the government of Georgia managed to maintain peace in the country with its pragmatic policy and noted that Georgia needs a break from wars for its development.
“I am interested in our country, the interests of our country. How is it that our war is not a war and Ukraine’s war is a war? Don’t you feel sorry for our soldiers, our citizens, or our refugees? How do you want to solve it, when we are neither a member country of NATO nor of the European Union yet. How do you imagine that we can protect the citizens of our country and unite the country? You should think about it, you should talk about it with our people. Everything will be very good, we have preserved the peace, it is truly unprecedented.
“The country is tired of so many wars, we need to breathe, we need development, we need peace. When did Europe shine? – When there were no wars. We, our government, by pursuing our correct pragmatic policy, managed to maintain and strengthen peace, as to how we managed it – by learning lessons,” said the Prime Minister.
