One of our main foreign policy priorities is to reset relations with the US, for which we will do everything, – the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, said in his speech at the closing event of the Ambassadors’ Conference.
Kobakhidze claimed that there is absolute openness and readiness to reset relations, and noted his hope that there will be corresponding steps under the new administration.
“One of our main foreign policy priorities is to reset relations with the US, for which we will do everything. I made a special statement in this regard at the government session. Our goal is to reset relations with the US, to renew the strategic partnership, and to do this with a specific roadmap – not with a strategic partnership left on a blank sheet of paper, but we want a strategic partnership with a specific roadmap, which will reflect specific tangible results. There is absolute openness and readiness on our part for this, and we hope that under the new administration we will see effective, responsive steps,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
