The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili met with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, reported the government administration. Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Georgia on 19 July, to attend Batumi International Conference – ‘Georgia’s European Way.’
The sides discussed the special friendly and strategic partnership between Georgia and Ukraine. Regional security issues and the situation in the Black Sea region.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the strong support towards the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and thanked Ukraine for its strong support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Irakli Garibashvili and Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the common challenge of the two countries – the threats posed by Russia and the harsh consequences of the occupation and stressed the importance of a peaceful policy for resolving the conflict.
