Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey.
The Head of Government extended his sympathy to the President of the Republic of Turkey for the victims of the recent earthquake. He noted that Georgia stands by the friendly people of Turkey, and is ready to provide any assistance necessary.
The participation of Georgian rescuers in efforts toward the elimination of the consequences of the earthquake and in rescue operations, and the humanitarian assistance provided by Georgia, were emphasized at the meeting in Ankara.
Erdogan thanked Garibashvili for the rapid assistance provided at this difficult time.
Garibashvili wished strength to the Turkish people and a speedy recovery to those injured.
